Privacy Policy

The domain name https://www.tradlinx.com and its related sub-domains, sites (collectively the "Webstie"), services and tools are owned by TRADLINX Inc. ("TRADLINX", which expression shall be deemed to mean and include all its affiliates, both present and future).

This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") informs the User of TRADLINX’s policies regarding the use and protection of Personal Information and other information when the User uses TRADLINX Maritime Monitoring Service (the "Service") and the choices the User has associated with that data.

1. Purpose and Agreement to the Privacy Policy

TRADLINX uses the User’s Personal Information to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, the User agrees to the collection and use of Personal Information and other information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

2. Types of Personal Information Collected

  1. 2.1The term “Personal Information” means any information relating to a living individual that (i) identifies a particular individual by his or her full name, resident registration number, pictures, etc., or (ii) information which, even if it by itself does not uniquely identify an individual, may be easily combined with other information to uniquely identify an individual.
  2. 2.2The term “Business Information” means information that can be used to identify a business entity, including but not limited to the entity's name, address, establishment date, email address and other contact information, business registration number, bank account number, and other relevant information.
  3. 2.3TRADLINX may also collect information regarding how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as the User computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of TRADLINX Service that the User visit, the time and date of the User visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
  4. 2.4TRADLINX uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on TRADLINX Service and hold certain information.
    1. 2.4.1.Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to the User’s browser from a TRADLINX website and stored on the User’s device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze TRADLINX Service. The User can instruct the User’s browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if the User do not accept cookies, the User may not be able to use some portions of TRADLINX Service.
    2. 2.4.2.Examples of Cookies TRADLINX use:
      • Essential Cookies: These are cookies that are used for the purpose of enabling basic functionality of the Website, such as Website navigation, access to secure areas of the Website, site search, etc. Without these essential cookies, the Website may not be able to perform certain functions optimally, and therefore, they are activated without a separate consent of the user.

TRADLINX uses the collected data for a variety of purpose, including:

  • To allow the User to participate in interactive features of TRADLINX Service when the User choose to do so

  • To provide analysis or valuable information so that TRADLINX can improve the Service

  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues

4. Transfer of Collected Data

  1. 4.1The User’s Collected Data may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers or other electronic devices located outside of the User’s state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from the User’s jurisdiction.
  2. 4.2If the User is located outside of the Republic of Korea and choose to provide information to TRADLINX, TRADLINX transfers the Collected Data, including Personal Information, to the Republic of Korea, where it will be stored and processed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
  3. 4.3The User’s consent to this Privacy Policy followed by the User’s submission of such information indicates the User’s agreement to the transfer.
  4. 4.4TRADLINX will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the User’s Personal Information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5. Disclosure of Collected Data

TRADLINX may disclose the Collected Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To comply with a legal obligation
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of TRADLINX
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
  • To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
  • To protect against legal liability

6. Security of Data

TRADLINX acknowledges that the security of the User’s data is important, but no method of transmission over the internet, or other method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While TRADLINX uses commercially acceptable means to protect the User’s Collected Data, TRADLINX cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Service Providers

TRADLINX may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate TRADLINX Service (the "Service Providers"), to provide the Service on TRADLINX’s behalf and perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how TRADLINX Service is used. Service Providers have access to the User’s Collected Data only to perform these tasks on TRADLINX’s behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

8. Analytics

  1. 8.1TRADLINX uses third-party analytics tool to monitor and analyze the use of the Service. By using the Service, the User agrees to TRADLINX’s use of third-party analytics tools and the collection of information resulting from it.
  2. 8.2For the specific third-party analytics service providers TRADLINX uses for the purpose of providing the Service, the User may contact TRADLINX.

9. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. TRADLINX has no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). TRADLINX does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If TRADLINX becomes aware that TRADLINX has collected Personal Information from children without verification of parental consent, TRADLINX will take steps to remove that information from TRADLINX servers.

11. Withdrawal of Information

The User has the right to withdraw any Personal Information or Business Information provided to TRADLINX at any time, by way of written request through e-mail. TRADLINX will take prompt action to erase the information the User has withdrawn from TRADLINX. The User acknowledges that by withdrawing information, the User may be restricted of certain or all aspects of the Service which necessitates the usage of those information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

  1. 12.1TRADLINX may update the Privacy Policy as needed. TRADLINX will notify the User of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
  2. 12.2TRADLINX will let the User know by email or a notice on TRADLINX website, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
  3. 12.3The User is advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Privacy Policy shall be applied fairly in accordance with the principles of good faith and is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in all questions and controversies arising out of the Privacy Policy.
